Calm Sessions

Sunday 3 May 2026 17:00 – 02:00

Calm Sessions returns to Manchester after a brief hiatus, bringing a curated celebration of Southern African culture, music, and community to the city. This edition takes place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, utilizing both the outdoor and indoor spaces of the venue to create a transition from a relaxed afternoon social to an energetic late-night session.

The event is rooted in the sounds of Afro House and Afro Tech, featuring a lineup of local DJs and tastemakers focused on delivering authentic rhythms. Beyond the music, the session highlights the “Southern Lifestyle” through its food offering. Catering is provided by Saffa Soul-the 2025 British Street Food Awards Champions- who will be serving traditional Southern African BBQ (Shisanyama) throughout the evening.

Schedule:

  • Outdoor Session: 17:00 – 23:00

  • Indoor After-Session: 23:00 – 02:00

The atmosphere is designed to be inclusive and welcoming, offering a space where music and food serve as a universal language. Whether you are coming for the deep basslines of the afternoon sun or the higher energy of the indoor afterparty, the event promises a straightforward, high-quality experience without gimmicks.

Tickets are available for pre-booking. Please note that this is an 18+ event.
