Originally from London and now based in Sheffield, Gold blends indie-folk melodies with vintage soul production, drawing comparisons to Frazey Ford, Brittany Howard, Lianne La Havas, and Valerie June. Inspired by the landscapes of Sheffield and the Peak District—as well as her passion for people, politics, and the environment—Gold’s music reflects her diverse influences and storytelling roots. Having performed in genres ranging from rock and hip-hop to breakbeat, she now steps into the spotlight with a guitar-driven solo project full of heart and originality.
The evening will also feature a performance by The Alchemists, Gold’s talented bandmates, and a set by Naomi Kalu. Kalu’s genre-blending sound evokes Tracy Chapman, Elliott Smith, Joan Armatrading, and Lauryn Hill, offering rich lyricism and acoustic soul.
