Love is Everywhere!

Tina Edwards brings her jazz dance floor party to Manchester! Love Is Everywhere leaves London for the first time to hit The Yard on Friday 3rd May, with support from DJ, turntablist and musician NikNak.

Love is Everywhere pays homage to classic jazz parties like Shiftless Shuffle and Dingwalls, with a modern twist; expect jazz dancefloor, global groove, latin, jazz house, broken beat and more.

Tina Edwards is a DJ at the forefront of the UK Jazz explosion. In the wake of live acts breaking through onto major stages, it’s time for Jazz to dominate on the dancefloor. Having been a vocal pioneer of the UK scene for a decade—and DJing for the past 5—Tina proves that jazz and club culture are perfect partners.

WIth contagious energy and deep music knowledge—from West African groove and latin-house to 00’s Italo Jazz—Tina’s sets are never predictable. She performs across the UK and has played in Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Chicago and LA, all as an independent artist. She’s shared line-ups with Gilles Peterson, Colleen Murphy, Coco Maria, Scarlett O Malley, Delfonic, Rebecca Vasmant, Poly-Ritmo and more. Her party, Love is Everywhere, puts jazz dance floor at the forefront—along with Latin, Brazilian and house—and pays homage to the likes of Dingwalls and Shiftless Shuffle.

Tina hosts multi-genre new music show Next Big Thing on British Airways as well as her self-titled monthly residency on Soho Radio—not to mention the occasional Bandcamp Weekly. As one of Worldwide FM’s longest serving residents, Tina launched the popular breakfast show WW Daily, and hosted extra shows: EZH and Universal Sanctuary. In 2022 she presented the TV documentary JAZZ UK :Spitting Fire which aired on BBC One and BBC Four – testament to the fact that Tina is a trusted broadcaster and tastemaker. As a curator, she heads up Queer Jazz, promoting LGBTQIA+ talent in the jazz community, and re:sonate, programming far-reaching line-ups with fellow tastemaker, Tim Garcia.

NikNak:

NikNak, a trailblazing artist with a diverse repertoire, has mesmerised audiences globally through her experimental albums, remixes, and captivating performances. As the first Black Turntablist to win the esteemed Oram Award in 2020, she continues to innovate across multiple genres and music platforms/roles. With numerous releases, collaborations, and live concerts, NikNak’s dynamic persona shines in the world of music composition, sound design, DJing, and electronic musical artistry. Recognised by various publications as an artist to watch, she consistently delivers groundbreaking sonic experiences through improvised techniques in turntablism, spatial electronic music production and performance.
