Two influential fixtures of the early 2000s independent underground are back on the road together for the first time since 2007. Now reunited as labelmates on Sonic Cathedral, The Early Years and Sennen bring their respective sonic explorations to the stage for a unique evening of immersive music.
Having emerged from the fertile UK shoegaze-adjacent scene, both acts spent years largely quiet before returning with renewed creative energy. The Early Years recently released their critically acclaimed third album, Modern Moonlight, adding to a legacy that includes praise from Brian Eno and legendary remixes by Andrew Weatherall. Sennen, known for their distinct fusion of expansive post-rock soundscapes and shimmering harmonies, are similarly stepping back onto the live stage following a lengthy hiatus.
Opening the bill are Parastatic, bringing their own atmospheric intensity to the proceedings, while The Flightpath Estate handles DJ duties throughout the night. The celebrations will not end with the live sets, as the evening transitions directly into an end of tour Cosmic Disco running until 1am.
